Muru wants to be a policeman

Dear Rahul,

Muruganantham is a typical 10 year old Indian boy: he absolutely loves to play cricket. He is happy when he succeeds in school, but he used to have a great deal of trouble with math.

Since he enrolled in Read India’s small, supportive after-school programme, he has been doing well in school. He has one little sister, who is enrolled in Read India’s pre-school program, so that she will be well-prepared when she arrives in primary school.

Though his parents work in a paper mill and on local construction projects in a village in Tamil Nadu, in southern India, Muru wants to be a policeman when he grows up. With the help of Pratham, maybe he will do just that

Thank you, Rahul, for enabling Pratham to help children like Muru dream big.
