A budding businessman

Seven year old Dilshad studies in Grade 4 of a government school in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh. His father is a tailor and his mother is a housewife.

When Pratham conducted a learning camp in his neighborhood and tested all the students in that area for proficiency in various subjects, the tests revealed that Dilshad was not at his grade level in language and math. In language, he could only identify letters while in math he could only do addition problems.

This led his father to enroll him in a Pratham Learning Camp during Dilshad’s summer vacation. With the help of Pratham’s unique pedagogy and special learning techniques, Dilshad can now read words and also do subtraction problems with ease. In his spare time, Dilshad loves to play cricket and is also very fond of Bollywood films.
