Vidama is catching up!

rsz_vimada-300x199
Eleven year old Vimada studies in the fifth grade in a poorly developed area in Dingucha district of Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India. Unfortunately Vimada was lagging behind in both math and English at school. During a camp conducted by Pratham, Vimada’s learning levels tested far below her grade level. She could only recognize letters and count numbers from 1 to 99. Wanting to help their daughter, Vimada’s parents enrolled her in the Pratham Learning Camp where she was placed children at a similar learning level.

Learning Camps are short duration, high intensity interventions where children are taught in an interactive manner using Pratham’s teaching and learning methodologies. Pratham Learning Camps yield powerful results. By the second learning camp,Vimada could read full paragraphs, solve addition and subtraction problems and count up to 10,000.

Thanks to your donation, Vimada is a happy, confident learner. Thank you for making this possible.
