Tarannum is getting better at Maths

Tarranum Shaikh-001
Dear Gautam, Tarkesh, Poonam, Neha, Babitha, Gregory, Rajiv, Henry, Sukshma, Divyansh, Prachee, Punitha, and Tiji J,

Thank you for ensuring that Tarannum and 34 other children like her are enrolled in Pratham’s Read India program for a year.

Tarannum Shaikh is a very energetic and talkative ten-year-old – she might even talk too much (according to her teacher)! Nevertheless, Tarannum is a great student, and she thrives in Urdu. She also says that she has gotten much better at math – a subject she used to struggle in – since entering the support class in fourth grade. She is now in fifth grade and wants her younger sister to join the class too. In addition to her younger sister, Tarannum has two brothers, and her father works in a garage. She loves eating biryani, and wants to be a teacher when she is older. Hopefully her students won’t talk as much as her!

Your donations will ensure that Tarannum and 34 other children like her are enrolled in Pratham’s Read India program where they are provided need-based instruction in reading, writing and basic arithmetic to bring them to the literacy levels expected of children their age.

Thank you, for doing your bit to ensure that ‘every child in India is in school and learning well‘.
