Taslima wants to inspire children by becoming a teacher

Thank you for ensuring that Taslima and 34 other children like her are enrolled in Pratham’s Read India program for a year.
Taslima loves the sixth grade, and especially her teacher from the Pratham support class. She always struggled in English, but her new teacher never scolds her when she makes mistakes. Instead, she speaks to her softly and works with her until she understands. Every day, her teacher puts new words on the board, and Taslima works very hard to learn them. She loves coming back to class to learn more English, and enjoys Hindi as well. When she is older, she wants to be a teacher just like her own, and can only hope that she will be as helpful and inspiring as her special teacher.
Your donations will ensure that Taslima and 34 other children like him are enrolled in Pratham’s Read India program where they are provided need-based instruction in reading, writing and basic arithmetic to bring them to the literacy levels expected of children their age.
