Aramaan wants to become an engineer when he grows up

Aramaan Shaikh
Dear Helmuth, Raj, Rakesh, Bhavna, Anjali, Yamini, and Prachee,

Thank you for ensuring that Aramaan and 34 other children like him are enrolled in Pratham’s Read India program for a year.
Aramaan loves cricket! His favorite player is Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the captain of the Indian national team, and Aramaan even wears a hat with a D on it, for Dhoni. His father does electrical work, and he wants to be an electrical engineer when he is older. But not quite yet – he is still an eleven-year-old fifth grader, now in his second year at Pratham. He was introduced to the program by a friend, and still comes because the support classes help him with his English, and his Mom encourages him to attend. Maybe one day he will help with the engineering of a new cricket stadium!
Your donations will ensure that Aramaan and 34 other children like him are enrolled in Pratham’s Read India program where they are provided need-based instruction in reading, writing and basic arithmetic to bring them to the literacy levels expected of children their age.
Thank you, for doing your bit to ensure that ‘every child in India is in school and learning well‘.
