Ayesha and her grandmother attend classes together

Ayesha-Library
Dear Anjali, Vineeta, Ramachandran, Neel, Simran, Vandana, Mallika & Ravi, Mamata, Prasanti, and Joher,

Thank you for ensuring that Ayesha and 34 other children like her are enrolled in Pratham’s Read India program for a year.

Four year old Ayesha lives in a slum community in Mumbai, and is enrolled in one of the pre-primary classes conducted in her area. Her grandmother brings her to the classes conducted as a part of the Read India Library Program everyday, and both of them derive immense pleasure from going trough the picture books that are available in the library. The classes have developed a love for reading in Ayesha, and she is impatient to start reading herself, so she can read all the books available in the Library.

Your donations will ensure that Ayesha and 34 other children like her are enrolled in Pratham’s Read India program where they are provided need-based instruction in reading, writing and basic arithmetic to bring them to the literacy levels expected of children their age.

Thank you, for doing your bit to ensure that ‘every child in India is in school and learning well‘.
