Thank you for ensuring that Sheetal and 29 other children like her are enrolled in Pratham’s Read India program for a year.
Nine year old Sheetal from Delhi used to find school boring. “My parents sent me to school but it’s was not as interesting as running on the streets with friends,” she used to say. Until one day her school started Pratham Library class. The class is not like other classes but a fun period where she is allowed to pick and read the book she likes. The Pratham teacher tells stories and Sheetal too is allowed to spin her own. “It’s a different kind of class where puppet shows, craft work and book making happens,” she says. Sheetal’s teachers are surprised to see her enthusiasm towards school now. Thanks for your contribution towards Read India’s Library programme.
Your donations will ensure that Sheetal and 29 other children like her are enrolled in Pratham’s Read India program where they are provided need-based instruction in reading, writing and basic arithmetic to bring them to the literacy levels expected of children their age.
Thank you, for doing your bit to ensure that ‘every child in India is in school and doing well‘.
