Eleven year old Urmila from Rajasthan is in grade 5. Her parents work in a factory. The eclectic array of books from the Pratham Library Program, have exposed her mind to the vast wonders of the world. And so she now wants to see it for herself by traveling the world. She wants to further develop her English skills so that she can fulfill her dreams.
Your donations will ensure that Sapna, and 19 other children like her are enrolled in Pratham’s Read India program where they are provided need-based instruction in reading, writing and basic arithmetic to bring them to the literacy levels expected of children their age.
Thank you, Brianna, Paresh, Nithya, Vasantha, Maria, Asir Vedamuthu, Daniel, and Tom, for doing your bit to ensure that ‘every child in India is in school and doing well‘.
