Chandan wants to be a superstar

Seven year old Chandan studies in grade one in Haryana. He loves to eat chocolates and watch Shah Rukh Khan movies. When practicing some famous movie dialogues, Chandan would often have some trouble with the vocabulary pronunciation. Since his introduction to Pratham’s Read India Program, he is beginning to gain confidence with both his English and Hindi speaking skills. He wants to be a film hero like his idol one day.

Your donation, Chris, Craig (x3), Sarah, Ray and Lael (x3), Dwayne and Terese (x2), Gillian, Greg and Monica (x3), James and Julie (x2), Jeffrey (x2), and Mark and Lynn (x2), would ensure that Chandan, and 19 other children like him are enrolled in Pratham’s Read India program where they are provided need-based instruction in reading, writing and basic arithmetic to bring them to the literacy levels expected of children their age.
