Sheema, the future nurse

Sheema
Dear Dwayne and Terese, billy, Peter, Kandace, Lee, Lowry, Tom, Michael, and Peter and Kim,

Eight year old Sheema is in grade three in the local village school in Theroth village, Uttar Pradesh. When she was first assessed last year, it was found that she struggled to recognize the letters of the alphabet. After being enrolled in the Read India program conducted by Pratham, not only has she started reading simple words, she has graduated to reading simple paragraphs.
In her spare time, Sheema loves to play with the young calf of the cow that her family takes care of, and she would like to become a nurse one day.

Your donation,Peter and Kim (x2), Michael (x2),  Tom (x2), Lowry (x2), Lee (x2), Kandace (x2), Peter (x2), Billy (x4) and Dwayne and Terese (x2), would ensure that Sheema, and 19 other children like her are enrolled in Pratham’s Read India program where they are provided need-based instruction in reading, writing and basic arithmetic to bring them to the literacy levels expected of children their age.

Thank you, for doing your bit to ensure that ‘every child in India is in school and doing well‘.
